Welcome, Black Baldies

We began with three first-time momma cows and three steers, and they have since grown their herd to include 12 black baldy cows. The cows are raised using regenerative agriculture practices, which involves rotating them through various pastures to ensure that they have access to fresh grass and are not overgrazing any one area. This approach also helps to improve the health of the soil, which in turn benefits the cows and the environment.

In addition to their unique appearance, black baldy cows are also known for their meat quality. The crossbreeding of Hereford and Angus cows results in meat that is both tender and flavorful. The meat is also well-marbled, which helps to keep it juicy and delicious. Our ultimate goal is to provide premium cuts of beef to our restaurants directly from our farm. This involves a careful and deliberate process of raising the cows, ensuring that they are well-fed, healthy, and happy. The cows are grass-fed and finished, which means that they are raised on a diet of grass throughout their lives. This approach results in meat that is not only delicious but also more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

As the farm continues to grow its herd of black baldy cows, they are also looking for new and innovative ways to incorporate them into our farming practices. This might include using them to help with land management, such as grazing them in areas that are overgrown or need to be cleared.

As our farm continues to grow and evolve, the cows will remain a central part of the operation. They are a testament to the power of hard work and dedication, and a source of pride and joy for all.
